Maduro has an extravagant, maximalist take on the woody style through fruit and herbs. Building an exuberant swirl atop of a solid Tobacco-Amber-Wood base gives Maduro an anticipatory energy surging from the fresh, radiant tenacity of sweet Basil, Apple and apple skin, and a murmur of Pineapple. Maduro is fragrance turned into velvet, as this tobacco dominant scent is lifted and then smoked with a honeyed accord of Amber, Beeswax, Cinnamon leaf and Vanilla. This tension oscillates as clean fruit and smoke collide, resolving at a texturally intriguing midpoint of Amber, Patchouli, Vetiver, Benzoin, and Atlas Cedarwood.

Le Jardin à Giverny is a hypnotic kaleidoscope of vibrant florals from eloquent tulips to iridescent iris. The heady fragrance of tuberose coupled with the refined fragrance of rose overwhelm the senses whilst the clamor of poppies and enchanting peonies adorn the flowerbeds. A melange of rare exotic blooms and unpretentious native flora, all coexisting in delicate harmony. Lush bamboo thickets, wisteria, and weeping willows surround the pond which is decorated in pink and white water lilies perched on bright green pads. Reminiscent to a painting, at a close glance the garden appears to be a chaotic array of color, however, on broader reflection it coalesces as a masterpiece by a true impressionist. This fragrance is my impression of Le Jardin à Giverny in scent, the beauty of the air that cannot be achieved by the brush. An olfactive journey of Monet’s vision for a Japanese garden in the heart of Normandy.

Fort&Manle Bojnokopff Edp 50 ml
Smokey rooms tucked away behind posh clubs in 1897 St Petersburg conjure images of dedicated followers of magic. Kerosene lamp light in the haze of tobacco and ornate mirrors creates the scene for the perfect illusion. Dark and hypnotic, his voice is calm and deep. “Tsilindr.” A single word, as he removes his famous purple top hat and lowers it down again, gently atop his head. Mysterious, yet delicate. This inspired blend conjures a full and rich western sensibility with its masterful shades of French Lavender and Vanilla atop depths of rich chocolate and unctuous textures. The greatest finale happens when the man is gone and we still feel his presence, embodied forever in a singular object, the purple top hat that inspired this namesake fragrance.
